The first snake I have ever owned happened to be a Dumeril’s Boa. In 2012, I set out to the local reptile show in order to purchase my first snake. I was deadset on buying a ball python and naming her Olivia. I spoke with many vendors in order to find my perfect snake. One of the vendors offered another type of snake instead, a Dumeril’s Boa. She had an almost perfect circle on her head so I knew it was fate to find her.

Ever since this day I have set out on a quest to learn as much as I can about the boas of Madagascar, their care, and natural habitat. During my journey I have befriend a few people that I am proud to call friends. They are my mentors and I greatly appreciate everything they have taught me.

The Malagasy Boas are my passion and I am happy to share my knowledge if you seek it.
